Photographic Safaris
Built around light, position and patience
Best time
June to October, and January to March
Suited to
Enthusiast and professional photographers
Pace
Early and late — long hours in the field
The experience
Photographic safaris are planned backwards from the light. Camps sit close to productive areas so you are in position before sunrise, drives run through the middle of the day only when there is a reason, and your guide understands why you want to approach from the other side.
Guides who understand light
Vehicle positioning, angle of approach and engine-off patience come as standard.
Full-day permits and flexibility
Bush breakfasts and packed lunches keep you out during golden hours at both ends.
Beanbags and clear space
Private vehicles with row-per-person space, charging points and camera support.
