Ideal for

Travellers seeking a personal, thoughtfully paced journey

Overview

Find room to breathe among Tarangire’s baobab country, the open Serengeti plains and the sheltered world of Ngorongoro. Your local guide is there to make each change of scenery feel easy.

Choose your comfort level

The same journey, three levels of comfort

Characterful lodges and classic tented camps inside the parks, chosen for location and view. More space, pools, and a slower, more private rhythm.

  • In-park lodges & classic tented camps
  • Prime locations with pools and viewing decks
  • Unhurried private game drives, flexible timing

Places along the way

These are the stops in the published route, not a fixed daily schedule. We will plan the pace, stays and travel connections together before you book.

  1. Stop 1

    Tarangire National Park

In the shade of old baobabs, watch elephant families make their own way. Your guide knows where to pause and let the day settle around you.

  2. Stop 2

    Serengeti National Park

On the plains, the horizon seems to have no end. Linger with what unfolds, whether a distant herd, a bird in the grass or simply the light.

  3. Stop 3

    Ngorongoro Crater

The crater opens below you like a world of its own. Take time to absorb its scale before finding a quieter corner with your guide.

  4. Stop 4

    Lake Manyara National Park

Follow the edge of the Rift Valley into forest, water and birdsong. A different texture of wildness invites a slower kind of attention.

The Serengeti migration

Timing the herds: where to be, how long to stay, and when to fly

The migration moves across the Serengeti all year. Our full guide shows where the herds are each month, why we hold to a two-night minimum in every migration area (three in the north), and why we fly you into the northern Serengeti instead of driving a full day each way.

  • Two-night minimumWe never sell single-night migration stops — one afternoon and one morning is not enough to find the herds.
  • Fly into the northA two-hour flight to Kogatende beats 9–11 hours on rough road and gives you back nearly two full game days.
