Day 1
Arusha to Tarangire National Park
We leave Arusha after breakfast and drive south to Tarangire, arriving in time for a full afternoon game drive along the river where elephant, zebra and buffalo gather. Dinner and overnight at a lodge on the park boundary.

Ngorongoro Crater and return
An early start takes us up to the crater rim for sunrise, then down onto the crater floor for a full day among lion, elephant, hippo and — with luck — black rhino. We picnic beside the hippo pool before climbing out in the late afternoon and returning to Arusha.
