Day 1

Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Your guide meets you in Arusha after breakfast and briefs you on the days ahead. You drive south-east through Maasai country to Tarangire, entering in time for a long afternoon game drive along the river where elephant herds gather to dig for water.

Day 2

Tarangire to the Ngorongoro Highlands

A morning drive through the park's southern swamps, then a scenic transfer up into the Ngorongoro highlands. Afternoon at leisure — walk the forest edge, visit a coffee farm in Karatu, or simply rest with the escarpment in view.

Day 3

Ngorongoro Crater and return to Arusha

An early descent onto the crater floor while the light is soft and the lions are still active. Picnic breakfast beside the hippo pool, then a full morning searching for black rhino, elephant bulls and flamingo-lined shallows before climbing out and returning to Arusha or the airport.
